Hi everyone 🌺,
I've been back from the hospital since three days. The operation went well and without complications. But boy oh boy, it was an odyssey preparing for the surgery and getting there. Not eating for a while before surgery is bearable, but not drinking for a long time is hard. I didn't sleep either.
I arrived at the hospital 10 minutes before the appointment. However, the gynecological outpatient station had moved to another floor and I was struggling finding it. It was so stressful and I was tired, thirsty and had a stomach ache too... perfect lol. To me the hospital was just a huge maze of endless long hallways. I went upstairs, downstairs, asked for directions but still couldn't find it. 😵
I eventually arrived and spent another four hours there before surgery. Still not allowed to drink. I was practically a desert. 🏜️
Anyways long story short I got my surgery and the large cyst, another slightly smaller cyst and other lesions are removed. Unfortunately, they couldn't remove everything because only an endometriosis center is able to do that. They are specialized in that field. I might need another operation. I hope not though. We shall see. But I'm overall glad because I finally have an answer and hopefully my condition will improve in the future. The diagnosis has been made too. I have deep infiltrating endometriosis Enzian P2 A2. I have no idea what that classification exactly means yet but well it's there now and I have time enough to figure it out. 🧐
