This looks like it would've worked great with the Wind Waker engine and graphical style if development switched to the Gamecube.

Why do they show Flint so much in the trailer while barely showing Lucas. Was Flint originally intended as the main charecter?

I wonder if the final battle on the N64 version would’ve been a lot scarier than Giygas's. Just look at the unused backgrounds and imagine them in a more graphical style with the uncanny 3D models and it’s unused darker ending

This version was supposed to have 12 chapters and 10 playable party members and tons of sidequests,damn we were robbed of a longer game :/

Considering the length of the full track being played here, and how abruptly the trailer ends, it's possible there's 50 extra seconds to this trailer. It WAS a version uploaded to the internet in 1999, IGN just might not have been able to fit the whole trailer on their site

I don't care how polygonic the graphics are, I still think this looks awesome and it's a shame we never got a Mother game in 3D like this. I loved playing Mother 3 but man I still feel just a little salty that they never finished it on the N64.
