Rihanna did not hit a fan "reaching out to her" with a microphone, she hit a fan who 'grabbed her sleeve and wont let go' with a microphone (this was a safety risk as she does not know this woman's intensions and there could be dangers from an opportunist) so not mean for that particular action just defended herself.

This is one good reason not to idolize celebrities none of them are gods just ordinary people that go to the bathroom like all of us.

My mom does landscape maintenance for a living and when Michael Jordan switched over to baseball for a little while he practiced at our spring training field and not only was he so polite and nice to my mom (who did the landscape for the field) he waited around until she picked us up from school so she could bring us back and meet him. I found him to be a very pleasant guy. Not to discredit anybody else’s experiences, but sometimes people just have bad days. My mom is a person that he could’ve totally brushed off as way beneath him and he didn’t.

I just wanted to add something about Shaq's story. He went on to publicly apologize to the guy as he was unaware of his disability and was just having dumb fun when the photo was taken. Not only did Shaq pay the sum of money thru court but he also became friends with the guy and took care of him until he passed away.
