Devilish_Desirez Evocation and Invocation: "The stereotypical being called in sex magic evocation is an incubus or succubus. These entities feed on energy generated by the act of sex (U.D. 2001). They are astral lovers for magicians, and in exchange for sexual energy, one can have them accomplish specific tasks. However, magicians have also taken other entities, including deities, as spiritual sex partners over the centuries. There’s a risk of obsession in working with entities in this manner, mainly because you are sharing such intimate energy with them. It’s dangerous particularly for those with unsatisfactory sex lives, as the entity can replace the desire for an actual human partner (to include the healthy, nonsexual social interaction with a human partner). (There are healthy cases of people having spiritual/magical relationships with nonphysical entities. One of the (relatively) better-known examples is the lwa marriage in Vodou. It’s not uncommon for members of that religion to marry one or more lwa, whether or not the human already has a physical significant other (Filan 2007). You can bypass this obsession: instead of having direct sexual interaction with the entity, have it draw on the ambient energy generated by a scene. (Make sure everyone involved knows beforehand what’s going on.) Use the energy of the pain and pleasure to express the task you want the entity to accomplish. The bottom should imprint every sensation s/he feels with that task, and the same goes for the top’s focus while inflicting those sensations. The energy generated by the physical activity and attention to the stimulation is fed to the entity, programming it to do the task. You might visualize the entity materializing in the energy rising from the bodies of the participants, or send the energy into a vessel the entity may use as a temporary physical anchor for the duration of the ritual. Remember to use the ambient energy to call up the entities, and not your own energy. If you use your own energy, the entities will draw on that instead of the ambient energy, which can drain you as it feeds. You’re not limited to incubi and succubae, of course; evocation may involve Goetic demons, deities, spirits, and/or any other type of entity a person can think of. There are numerous purposes for evocation, too. In addition to our example of summoning a being to complete a particular task, you might instead evoke an entity associated with sex and/or pain (there are numerous deities who fit the bill one or both ways) to add their energy to a kink magic ritual. You could evoke entities associated with protection to guard the ritual area during the scene, especially if you are going to be addressing vulnerable issues. You could call upon healing entities at the close of a ritual, to help bring everyone back into a calm, secure state of mind. If you can’t find an entity for your purpose, there’s always the option of creating one. We designed a magical species on the astral plane called a sigilonodon. This is a lizard-like creature that captures energy with webbed membranes stretched down the sides of its body between its fore- and back legs. It collects and stores energy within itself until called upon for magical use. Each sigilonodon has a large scale between its shoulder blades; on it, we inscribe a sigil representing what we want to accomplish. (Lupa extensively covers how to create and work with a magical species in her book Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal Magic.)We created the first sigilonodon with kink magic because sex represents the creative force, and being who we are, we wanted to incorporate aspects of kink into the working. We created the necessary ASC through overstimulation, using, among other things, a mind machine. First, Taylor bound Lupa’s arms and legs so her movement was restricted, spreading her legs enough for cunnilingus. Then he put the goggles and headphones of the mind machine on her. Taylor stimulated Lupa sexually, instructing her to focus her mind and energy on the creation and evocation of the magical species. Taylor focused on the sexual act, generating energy for the birth of the sigilonodon. We found that the binding of Lupa’s limbs, along with the physical input provided by the oral sex and the mind machine, resulted in an excellent method for creating and evoking an entity. The overstimulation via the mind machine gave Lupa enough noise and light to achieve gnosis and open her mind to the process of creating the entity. The sexual energy from the cunnilingus and the resulting orgasm collected in her solar plexus chakra, which we then used to create the first sigilonodon. We also approach evocation as a way of manifesting possibility into reality. It might seem that we are doing an enchantment, but we think evoking a possibility is more accurate. In evocation, we are calling into external reality a possibility, with potential unknown variables. Conversely, enchantment involves working with known and present variables that we manipulate to maximize their effectiveness. We can evoke events with the same techniques we use to evoke entities, including the ambient energy method. In this case, you program the energy raised through ritual activity to evoke the possibility, allowing it to manifest into your life. Evoking possibilities and events requires you to rely heavily on your intuition. As an example, Taylor wanted to meet local pagans in Kent, Ohio when he first moved there. He evoked the possibility of making contacts within the community. After the ritual was complete, whenever his intuition prompted him to do something and he acted upon it, he would meet another pagan in the area. A kinkier version of this type of evocation has the bottom focus all of hir energy and attention on the possibility to be evoked. S/he visualizes the possibility during the scene, using the pain and pleasure to feed the desired outcome. When it is fully visualized, the bottom will mentally pull that possibility into reality. When we do this, we visualize the possibility as a bubble, which we then mentally manifest into our reality. When the merging is complete, the bubble pops and reality changes so the possibility can manifest. Orgasm is particularly useful for merging the bubble into reality, as then the bottom’s attention is most concentrated and yet at a non-linear nexus point where s/he can perceive the effect of the merging. While, strictly speaking, evocation means calling forth an entity outside of the magician, evocation may even be paired with invocation, with one participant (generaly the top) evoking the entity into the body of another participant (usualy the bottom, though if there is a second top involved s/he may also be a vessel). The top may also invoke an entity hirself. You may even use a scene as an offering to an entity that has successfuly finished a task. The energy of the scene, as mentioned above, can be offered in honor of the entity. If knifeplay is involved, you may offer the blood, and if desired, leave a small scar as a reminder of the experience. Or, if all parties agree to it, the entity may even be invoked into a participant, so s/he may participate more directly in the offering process. Regardless of who and what you evoke, make sure that you banish after the working is over. This is particularly true of entities such as incubi and succubae that may continue feeding on energy as long as there is available access."- K.M. (3 years ago)
